C4 Carbon Road Bike From Italy.
C4 was founded in 1986 in order to create and build carbon fiber projects by engineer Marco Bonfanti.
Bonfanti was the first frame builder using NJC – No Joint Construction, which enables the building of hollow structures without joints: The first Monocoque Frame.
In 1987 the Bianchi racing team rode the time trial stages of the Giro d ‘Italia on bikes designed and built by C4. These were a world preview of special features such as full cable integration and the monocoque carbon technique.
In the year 1994 C4 was the primary sponsor of the professional cycling Team Polti, with Gianni Bugno and Ivan Gotti.
Also Marco Pantani used C4 frames for his time trials.
This C4 road bike is from 1991 and built with the pro’s choice Dura Ace 7400 groupset.
In all original and near mint condition.
This is a real Collectors Item and a rare piece of cycling history.
