The 1st generation Rally derailleur was dropped after it was criticized for looking too “Japanese”. The second generation was nothing more that a Nuovo Record rear derailleur with a longer cage. With the release of the C-Record groupset in 1986, Campagnolo released this 3rd generation Campagnolo Rally rear derailleur (C-Record) style version. Designed for use with triple cranksets on touring bicycles.
